Peak District Photography

From 2015 to 2016 I had the opportunity for some Peak District photography in England. I am visiting Manchester and only 30min drive away is the the Peak District. This is a very scenic area with impressive landscapes and endless skies. A great place for awesome landscape photography.

There are many place start your walk and some have historic value like Kinder Scout. Great waterfalls, massive rocks and lots of old buildings make this a fantastic place.

Kinder Scout Waterfall

Kinder Scout is a famous and popular region in
the Peak District.

I loved the streams and waterfalls that suddenly appear when
you turn a around a bend.

Mamtor

Mam Tor is a hill near Castleton in the Peak District.
In the summer this area is filled with walkers
and photographers from all over England.

Bleaklow

Bleaklow is a high, largely peat-covered, moorland, just north
of Kinder Scout, across the Snake Pass near
the town of Glossop.

I spend many hours here but only have very few images
due to the constant bad weather.

And another Waterfall

You just have to stop and admire these little waterfalls.
They just radiate tranquility.

Kinder Scout in the snow

Kinder Scout is also very impressive in the winter
with fantastic views.

Kinder Reservoir

On the walk to the Kinder Fall you turn back
and see the reservoir getting smaller in the distance.

Dovestone Reservoir

Dovestone Reservoir is another very popular area and you need to come very early or in the winter when there is snow on the top ridge.

Sheer endless landscapes

The Peak District is big, very big and the land seems to go on forever.
